About Our Company
Refine Direct Primary Care was created to improve and modernize how healthcare works. The name “Refine” reflects our mission: to refine the doctor-patient relationship, transparency in costs, and access to care through clear communication and modern tools.
Our team brings over 25 years of clinical experience in adult primary care, along with backgrounds in operations, education, coaching, and business management. We've seen firsthand how traditional healthcare often fails patients: short appointments, long waits, unclear billing, and overwhelmed providers with little time to listen.
That's why we built Refine DPC to change that. By removing insurance barriers and focusing on direct relationships, we offer better access to personalized, proactive care built around your long-term health.

Yes, you can use many Health Savings Accounts (HSAs) and some Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs) to pay for your membership. However, eligibility depends on your specific plan, so we recommend checking directly with your HSA/FSA provider or tax advisor.
What if I need lab work, scans, or a specialist?
Our providers can order them through your health insurance. We work with LabCorp and Quest for easy access to routine testing. For specialist care, we help coordinate referrals and ensure your records are shared for seamless follow-up.
How is Direct Primary Care different from Concierge Medicine?
While both offer personalized care and greater access, DPC operates on a flat monthly fee with no additional per-visit charges. Concierge practices often bill insurance and charge a retainer on top. DPC makes healthcare more affordable and accessible by removing hidden fees and third-party billing.
What if I need urgent care after hours?
You can contact your provider directly by text, phone, or email, even after hours. If your concern can't wait until the next business day, we’ll help assess your situation and offer guidance, prescriptions, or in-person care as needed. In an emergency, call 911 or go directly to the nearest ER.
